Delete your OGLE Property account

Last updated: August 28, 2026

This page explains how to request deletion of your OGLE Property account and what happens to your data afterwards. It covers the OGLE Property mobile app, and the website at ogle.ng.

1. How to delete your account

Deletion takes four steps and about a minute. You can do it yourself from inside the app or from this page — you never have to wait on a support agent.

  1. 1

    Sign in to your account

Open the OGLE Property app or go to ogle.com.ng and sign in with the email address on the account. Deletion can only be requested by the account owner, so there is no way to do this while signed out.

  2. 2

Open Account and scroll to Danger zone

Tap Account, scroll to the bottom of the page to the red Danger zone section, and choose “Delete account”. It is the last block on the screen, below every other setting. On the web that link brings you back to this page — the button below does the same thing.

  3. 3

    Confirm the request

Read what will be removed, type DELETE to confirm, and submit. Your subscription is cancelled and access ends straight away — you are signed out of every device.

  4. 4

Wait 30 days — or change your mind

Your data is held for 30 days so an accidental or regretted deletion can be undone: sign in again inside the window and choose Reactivate. After 30 days the erasure is permanent and cannot be reversed by anyone, including our support team.

Delete your account from here

Sign in first — we can only delete an account for the person signed into it.

Can't sign in — lost the email or the phone number on the account? Write to support@ogle.com.ng from any address you can reach and tell us which account it is. We verify your identity before acting, then delete on your behalf and email you when it is done.

2. What happens immediately

The moment you confirm, before the 30-day window even starts:

  • Your subscription is cancelled and your saved card is removed. This part is permanent — reactivating does not restore either, and any unused portion of a paid period is not refunded.
  • Your listings are archived and disappear from search and from your public profile.
  • Active property requests and distress-sale alerts are hidden.
  • You are signed out everywhere, and no one can message or book an inspection with you.

3. What is deleted and what is kept

Deleted permanently

Erased after 30 days

  • Your profile

Name, username, profile photo, bio, email address, phone and WhatsApp numbers, and your verification documents.

  • Listings and media

Every listing you posted, along with the photos and videos stored for them.

  • Saved activity

Liked and saved properties, saved searches, search alerts, viewing history and recommendations.

  • Messages and requests

Conversations with agents and seekers, inspection bookings, property requests and distress-sale alerts.

  • Device and session data

Push notification tokens, trusted devices, login history and your last known location.

Kept, and for how long

Required by law or for safety

  • Payment and wallet records

Invoices, wallet transactions and payout records are kept for 6 years to meet Nigerian tax and financial record-keeping obligations. They are unlinked from your profile and are not used to contact you.

  • Fraud, safety and moderation records

Reports, appeals and enforcement decisions are kept for up to 5 years so a banned account cannot be recreated and so we can respond to a dispute or an investigation.

  • Anonymised analytics

Aggregate counts (searches run, listings viewed) are kept indefinitely. They carry no identifier and cannot be traced back to you.

  • Data under a legal hold

Where a law-enforcement request, court order or open dispute requires it, the relevant records are preserved until that matter closes, then deleted.

Nothing in the right-hand column is used to market to you or to rebuild a profile of you. Where a record has to be kept, we keep the minimum needed for that purpose and delete it when the period ends. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

4. Changed your mind?

Sign in again within 30 days and you will be offered the option to reactivate. Your profile, conversations and history come back; your listings return as unpublished drafts for you to review and republish. Your subscription and saved card do not come back — you would need to subscribe again. After 30 days there is nothing left to restore.

5. Contact us

Questions about deletion, or want a copy of your data before you go? Email support@ogle.com.ng or use the contact form. We reply within two working days.
